I wanted to send you a follow-up message to the Charlotte Chorale’s “Buy A Biscuit” Program.
On November 19th you interviewed me on the John Hancock show. You allowed me to talk about our upcoming performance and our “Buy A Biscuit” program.
The Charlotte Chorale collected money at its concerts and events along with donations through our website this year to provide a warm breakfast to the soldiers of Fort Jackson as they traveled home for the holidays through the Charlotte Douglas Airport. We donated the sandwiches to the USO so they could distribute them to the soldiers throughout the morning after their arrival.
I am happy to report that we raised enough money to serve over 1,000 soldiers the morning of Dec. 17.
I wanted to thank you for supporting our program.I’ve attached a few photos to show the soldiers eating the sausage biscuits and sausage McMuffins purchased through our “Buy A Biscuit” program. They were very appreciative of the food.Blessings to you in the coming new year.
